 High Maintenance was a vision I had come up with a friend over coffee. To open a salon & boutique for the women who love a fun & hip style. To appeal to the "soccer mom" generation, as well as, the 50-somethings being appropriate, yet still looking good. We strive to find clothing brands that are eye-catching and expressive, not your typical department store brands or what your neighbors having been wearing for years.
 I have been doing hair for over 20 years. I worked at a salon in Hinsdale for 18 years and after having my second child decided to cut hair out of my home. Then, 2 years ago after being frustrated with going to the mall and not finding anything that's great to wear I started my quest for different things. Things that make a statement, whether it is jewelry, watches, clothes, purses or shoes. So, I started a home party business. Bringing all my treasures to peoples homes. Having done that for 2 years, the business was taking over my house. However, I knew I wanted to stay close to home. A storefront opened in downtown Minooka and I decided at that point it was time to take the plunge. We moved in and opened for business July 2008.
